Leaders in Snohomish County endorse Joe McDermott for Congress

Seattle, WA (March 24, 2016) — The next Representative for the Seventh Congressional District must understand the needs of families and businesses throughout the entire district – and elected leaders in Snohomish County are endorsing Joe McDermott for exactly that reason. These leaders representing the north end of the district join Joe’s growing list of supporters who want a partner in Congress focused on delivering real results.

Snohomish leaders endorsing today are…

• Dave Somers, Snohomish County Executive
• Terry Ryan, Chair and Councilmember — Snohomish County
• Brian Sullivan, Councilmember — Snohomish County
• Stephanie Wright, Councilmember — Snohomish County
• Adrienne Fraley-Monillas, Council President — City of Edmonds
• Paul Roberts, Councilmember — City of Everett

Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers is impressed by Joe’s proven track record of delivering for the region. “Joe McDermott understands the needs of our entire region, and he knows how to get things done,” said Executive Somers. “The people of Snohomish County, both in and out of the Seventh Congressional District, need a partner in Congress who will listen and truly deliver for them. From helping us tackle traffic congestion through regional infrastructure investments to ensuring our environment is protected, Joe has already accomplished a great deal and he is the effective partner we need back in Washington, DC.”

These Snohomish County leaders join other officials from King County that have announced their support this week, including Representative Sharon Tomiko Santos, Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles, Seattle City Councilmember Rob Johnson and many more.
